Kris Bowman Sends I/I Team To Regional Tournament

Vero Beach Polo Interscholastic Team competed in their first USPA I/I Tournament in Baltimore Maryland in February. Jess Downey, Julia Ancey, and Amelia Strazzulla have been playing competitive grass polo for the past five years in Vero Beach with under the tuteledge of polo instructor Kris Bowman. After the girls attended the PTF Camp at Brushy Creek last summer Bowman was encouraged by PTF instructor Robin Dutoit, to send her girls to national competition in the arena. "After the girls committed to the tournament, I turned their coaching over to Robert Lynkeechow, says Bowman. He has a vast knowledge of  arena polo and was the right man for the job." The girls won one of their preliminary games and lost their second game leaving them out of the finals. "I am extremely proud of thier efforts and since we do not have an arena of our own to practice in, I couldn't expect them to beat teams who play in the arena on a daily basis. They tried thier hardest and learned alot from Robert and from their tournament experience. What more can you ask for!"
